US government issued advisory on getting spam messages from toll agency, saying that you have undue toll asking for money by giving link. This message looks like it comes from official toll authority but they are scammers.
What they will ask
They will ask for your financial information like bank account, numbers or credit card numbers or Driving licence number once you click that link. Sometimes the money they ask will be very less but the main target of them is getting your financial information and clear your bank account.
Who issued advisory
This advisory has been issued by federal trade commission (FTC) and they have explained how this scam works. This is not new in the arena of Scams. This is a new kind of fishing scam that is going on in USA.
What you should do
FBI has suggested following measures
- We should delete this messag as soon as we recieve it.
- We can can forward it to 7726 (SPAM).
- You can report junk.
It should be emphasized that this advisory has come from U.s government and not from some security analyst. So please follow the advisory and share this with your loved once and stay away from such scams
